We are delighted to conduct our annual auction this year at John Moran Auctioneers in Monrovia, California on Monday, March 12th at 12pm Pacific time, live and online.

All sales will benefit the Foundation’s efforts to fund scholarships and educational events dedicated to personal property appraising. Items to be auctioned include paintings, silver, jewelry, glass and more! “Moran’s is honored to hold this special auction event and believes strongly in the Foundation’s mission to raise funds for scholarships,” said Jeffrey Moran, Senior Vice President of John Moran Auctioneers. “As a special incentive, shipping will be provided gratis and all lots will be sold to the highest bidder without reserve. Full-color catalogues will be available to attendees for free, courtesy of Treasures Estate Concierge Services.” Internet bidding is provided by LiveAuctioneers. Online bidding will be available March 12th. Phone and absentee bids will also be accepted. Some of the items in the John Moran Auctioneers 89-lot auction will include the following:
Lot 1007: A late 19th or early 20th century Continental tantalus(lockable case or stand holding decanters of alcoholic beverages), with crystal decanters, rectangular with a serpentine front, with two dual-tiered racks holding a total of sixteen cordials (est. $300-$500).
Lot 1016: A 20th century Cambodian pumpkin-form betel / trinket box, topped by a stem with protruding leaf and flower, each lobed side chased and repousse-decorated with scrolling vines, 5 ½ inches tall and weighing a total of 13.330 troy ounces (est. $300-$500).
Lot 1049: A circular bowl by Emilia Castillo (20th century, Taxco, Mexico), with rum and lily pad-form handles topped with silver-plated frogs, hand-hammered, made from verdigris patinated and polished copper (est. $600-$900).
